It’s time for another technique hop. This time the team from Crafty Collaborations is inspiring teaching and demonstrating Partial Die Cutting. Please enjoy the hop – the line up is at the end of this post. Happy hopping!

Since Halloween is my second favorite holiday (after Christmas), I just had to create a Halloween card. This easel fold card makes the perfect base for a pop up using partial die cutting.

Here is what the card looks like opened and displayed. Aren’t easel cards fun?!

Dimensions

  • Pumpkin Pie Card Stock: 4.52 X 11

Score at 2.75 and 5.5. Fold the base in half then fold the front in on itself to make the easel.

  • Basic Black Paper: 4 X 5.25

Score at 2 and 5/8 and attach to the card base ensuring that it also folds for the easel.

  • Basic White Paper: 3.75 X 5

mark the halfway point (2.5). Fold along the line outside of the partial die cut.

  • Smoky Slate: stamp and die cut

Stamp and cut out the raven, cauldron, and cat.

  • White Scrap

Stamp and cut out the books.

  • Granny Apple Green Glimmer Paper: Scrap

Die Cut the spill for the edge of the cauldron.

  • Basic White: 2.75 X .5

    Stamp the sentiment.

  • Pumpkin Pie: 3 X .75

Mat the sentiment and pop up on the inside.

  • Basic White: 4 X 5.25

Attach to the inside of the base. Mount the sentiment near the bottom where the easel will rest.
