Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, we are sharing our favorites from the new catalog. We know you will be inspired by all the creations the Pals share with you! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Card Details

This fun fold is truly fun to make. It looks like it takes longer than it does to put together. When you open the flap by lifting the plane paper, it reveals a normal card that opens to allow plenty of room for writing.

I used the Take to the Sky Paper and matching Adventurous Sky stamps to create this fun fold card. To make this card

Dimensions

  • Card Base: 4.25X5.5

    Night of Navy

  • Card: 8X5.25 scored at 4 and folded in half

Smoky Slate Embossed with the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder

  • Designer Series Paper: 3.25X3.25 Cut at a diagonal

    Cloud Paper

  • Cardstock Mat: 2.75 X 4.25

    Night of Navy

  • Designer Series Paper: 2.5 X 4

    Vintage planes

  • Scraps

Night of Navy and white for die cuts

Directions

  • Assemble Flaps

Score the longest edge of each triangle (from the diagonal cut) at 1/4 inch. Add glue to the back of the triangle below the score line and attach this small tab behind the folded card. Attach triangles to the top and bottom of the card.

  • Attach the card to the base

Glue the back of the card tot he card base.
*Be sure to open the flaps and ensure that none of the glue is attaching the flaps (triangles) to the front of the card.

  • Attach Focus DSP

Glue the Designer Series Paper to its mat. Line up the mat, and add glue to the TOP FLAP ONLY where the mat will be attached.

  • Decorate 🙂

I added a sentiment (Flying by to say Hi) and the medium plane from the Adventurous Sky set. To get the shadow for the plane, I cut a scrap of Night of Navy when I cut out my stamped plane. I added glue to the plane and off-set it from the Night of Navy die cut to create a shadow effect. I then popped the plane up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. After stamping the sentiment I cut it using the die cut from Unbounded Love and stamped the larger circle in Night of Navy.

What a great masculine card, Stefani! I love this bundle and the paper that goes with it. I haven’t made this fun fold in quite a while, so I will try it again, so thanks for the inspiration. Thank you for joining the blog hop this month.
