Hey crafty friends!

I had so much fun making this card. When I saw the large floral stamp in the Layers of Beauty set, I just had to use it as a background.

I made a card base with Basic white Cardstock by cutting it in half, folding it in half and burnishing with a bone folder.

Before stamping the card, I used the Embossing Buddy (from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit) to remove any static from the card. Then I stamped the florals from Layers of Beauty on the top and bottom of the card front with versamark ink.

The Embossing Additions Tool Kit also has a nifty tray to keep the excess powder from making a mess. I used the tray to pour gold embossing powder (from the Metallics Embossing Powder set). Finally I used the Heat Tool to set the powder.

The paper strip is from Unbounded Beauty and the sentiment is an old stamp from my stash (also heat embossed).

Now let me be honest with you all. . .the entire reason I made this card was because I was too lazy to color the floral image. I thought the flowers would stand out and be pretty enough without colors if I embossed them! I think it worked 🙂
