New Year Card

Atlantic Hearts Sketch 401

I just realized that I forgot to give our delivery driver a Christmas card/gift – and we order a lot! So, I’m doing a New Year’s Card. This seemed like the perfect time to use a sketch for a bit of inspiration. This card was created for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge. These challenges are lots of fun, and I hope you can play along!

Card Details

This card was fun to make – and a great way to use up some scraps of older paper. It’s also perfect for #ThrowbackThursday since I revisited some old product! I used a black card base (8.5X11 folded in half) and added a sheet of gold foil paper to the top. Next I embossed a scrap of black cardstock with snowflakes for one side of the top and used a snowflake pattern paper (it’s from an old set called Snowhaven) for the other top piece. The bottom piece is from an old set called Silver and Gold.

For the sentiment, I used the Brackets thin cuts to cut the white and black. The Happy New Year is from an Old Stamp called January Word Puzzle. It is stamped with VersaMark Ink and then embossed with Princess Gold Embossing Powder.

Happy Stamping,

Love this fancy card! The gold is perfect for a New Year’s card and I love when dry embossing and heat embossing are combined! Thank you for sharing with AHSC.
