Card Inspiration Christmas
Blue Christmas Card
My first Christmas card of the year! This card was inspired by the Double Trouble Challenge. This challenge is so much fun – I love the things and their options. I even did all the things! As Thing 1 requested I used my Cricut Explore to cut the O Holy Night AND I used die cuts for the manger and Baby Jesus. Thing 2 invited us to enter at Bitten by the Bug 2, so I have entered there and hope you will also join me! Finally, Thing 3 should appreciate all my pattern papers!
And, because I’m so excited to get an early start on next year’s Christmas cards, I’m entering this one in the Christmas Crafts All Year Round Challenge. I used blue and Baby Jesus.
Card Details
This one was really fun to make. I used papers from Serenity and cut the O Holy Night with my Cricut Explore using “Season of Joy.” The cut is Sapphire, Canary, and Blue Belle. I used the manger and Baby Jesus from the Cedar and Pine Card Workshop set, used the included thin cuts to die cut the images. I also popped out Baby Jesus using thin 3D Foam. I added color with a few of our Tri-Blend Markers (Gold Brown, Brown Grey, and Fair Skin). I love how easy it is to color with these markers – they have 3 shades in one pen, so you always know what color to use to blend.
I hope you like the card and feel inspired to create.
Happy Stamping,

Stefani – what a beautiful card! Your coloring is really great!!! Our partner for our Double Trouble challenge is Color Dare, but regardless, I enjoyed your card and creative talent you have!!! Happy 2021!!! -Donna
Thank you! I realize now that I somehow linked the wrong one! Oh well, the challenge was fun and I still have my first Christmas card of the year!
Oh I absolutely love a good manger scene and this is such a sweet card! I love all the elements you included for interest. Thank you for joining us at Double Trouble 🙂
Thank you – Double Trouble always has inspiring ideas!
Wendy, your card is beautiful and the design papers you used are a favorite of mine and thank you so much for your inspiration in creating with Double Trouble challenges. I’m thinking there is some confusion as to whether you met this to be entered in this #74 challenge partnering with Color Dare; or if you met to enter in it in the #73 partnering with Bitten By a Bug. The Thing 1 requirement for both these challenges were using a Cuttlebug or similar cutter which may have been the confusion, but the twist and partner were different.
Oops – I thought I entered #73. Oh Well, it was great inspiration for the card. Thank you for the kind words – I love this paper too!
Lovely card, Stefani! Great blend of patterns and colors. Thank you for playing along with us at Double Trouble Challenge.
