Card Details

This card was really fun to make. I love interactive cards. I have wanted to try making a shutter card for a while, and yesterday I found clear instructions to create this kind of card. I used this video by Lisa Stenz and the Cricut file she shared to cut alll my pieces.

This card came together so quickly! I cut a base with Blue Belle Cardstock and added pattern paper from Happiness Lives Here. Since the card is very thick, I added a belly band using Blue Belle paper. I a zip strip from the Happiness Lives Here paper and used the tag sticker from the included sticker sheet. I cut a Blue Belle tag using the Tags and Tabs Thin Cuts and trimmed it to fit the sticker. Finally I used the Happiness Lives Here cardmaking stamp set to stamp “Miss you” on the tag with Blue Belle Ink.

Inside the card is where the magic happens! I used White daisy (to stamp the message that gets revealed as the card opens, and added Paprika Cardstock to make the shutters. I used another sentiment from the cardmaking stamp set and added a heart from the January Stamp of the month.

I hope you like the card and are inspired to try your own shutter card! I’d love it if you could leave me a comment before hopping on over to Kathy’s blog.

Happy Hopping!

Love this card?! You can order everything you need to make it here!

Very pretty card. I watched Lisa’s inspiring video yesterday too. Now your card is further motivation to give one of these interactive cards a try.
