Card Details

I love how this cheerful spring card turned out. I had the hardest time deciding which papers to use! I really love everything in the Blue Skies pack. I especially like the colored coordinating pieces with the subtle UV coating on one side. I finally settled on the red paper since it’s my Mom’s favorite color. With that decision made, I went through and decided I liked the look of the flower one the best with that paper.

To make the card, I used a 2 X 6.25 inch sheet of the red paper and scored it to make the tab. To get the shape at the end, I used the clipboard die cut from the seasons of Joy Set. You could also use any tag die cut or just round the edges. The stitched pieces on the front are cut from die cuts. The red one is the medium square and the white one is the large rectangle. I also did a large white rectangle inside to provide a place to write.

The stamps are from an old set (I didn’t receive my Beautiful Day Stamp set yet), but the flowers in that set will work even better than these!

The sentiment is stamped with the stamp of the month, Time to Celebrate.

I hope you enjoyed your visit. I’d love for you to leave a comment before you “Hop” on over to Kathy’s blog and check out her work. Happy hopping!
