Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, we are sharing our favorites from the new catalog. We know you will be inspired by all the creations the Pals share with you! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

This fun fold is truly fun to make. It looks like it takes longer than it does to put together. When you open the flap by lifting the plane paper, it reveals a normal card that opens to allow plenty of room for writing.

Card Inspiration Thinking of You

I LOVE using one-sheet wonders. A one-sheet wonder is a sketch to help you use your pattern paper and turn it into several cards. This one is by Jessica Taylor. She has a One-Sheet Wonder Club where you get a new pattern each month. It is great and really encourages me to create!

Here are the cards I created. I used Flower Shoppe Paper and some old stamps (Spruced Up Cardmaking and Heartfelt Wreath). Both are retired, but the beauty of one-sheet wonders is that you can use whatever you have available.

Card Inspiration Stamp of the Month Thinking of You

This card was so much fun to make. I LOVE the shimmery bee!

This card is a fun fold featuring the July Stamp of the month, Bee’s Knees. I love how quick it was to color with Shimmer brushes!

Card Club Masculine Thank You Thinking of You

We had so much fun creating together. I sent pre-cut kits to everyone so we could stamp and assemble together (in a virtual crop). It’s so much fun to create together!

And I modified a few of the cards to use the awesome Seasonal Haul Stamp set. Aren’t these just adorable! I LOVE this stamp set.

These cards feature the Crisp Air papers as well as the Fall Seasonal Papers. They also use the Crisp Air cardmaking stamp set and (optionally) the Seasonal Haul Stamp Set.

Card Inspiration Thinking of You

I had so much fun last week with the Double Trouble Challenge, I decided to do another card. I also followed Thing Two’s Advice and joined the Sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch. They have a different sketch for this week! Hope you can come play too!

Thing One’s challenge is still to “stitch it up.” This time I used a quilted embossed pattern and added a needle image. My sentiment “quilted together in friendship” also fits the stitching theme.

I had lots of fun with this card, and it came together quickly. I wanted to continue using the Stitched Together paper pack, so I looked at the coordinating colors and decided to use Sweet Leaf (now retired) for the card base. I also used a Sweet Leaf to mat my sentiment. Both circles are cut with now retired Thin cuts. I used just a scrap of paper from the Stitched together pack and dove-tailed the end. Since it sort of got lost on the quilted pattern I decided to mat the banner piece with Sapphire cardstock. Did I mention that I got to use up scraps on this card!

I love how this cheerful spring card turned out. Interactive cards are so much fun. On this one the butterfly is on a band that swings over and the flower paper opens up to reveal the card! It’s so fun!

To make this card I used the Brushed Paper Pack, Canary Cardstock, and White Daisy Cardstock. The butterfly is from the Your Own Kind of Wonderful stamp set that was also brought back with this pack. The butterfly is stamped with Lagoon Ink on White Daisy cut with the Stitched Circles and the Canary background is cut with the largest Basic Circle Thin Cut.

Even though this card looks a bit complicated, it actually came together really fast! I love these fun fold cards that open differently than normal!

Masculine Stamp of the Month Thinking of You

I love how this cheerful spring card turned out. I used some remaining paper from Blue Skies, which is still available for now. This limited paper could be replaced by the flower paper from the Stitched Together set! I cut the frame from the red paper in the Blue Skies Coordinating Pack with the large Stitched Rectangle Thin Cut then added the tag, stamped with Charcoal, from the June Stamp of the Month. I cut the tag out of a scrap of red and off-set it behind the stamped tag for added dimension.

I loved this design so much I decided to make it again with papers from the Aurora Paper Pack. I’m thinking about using this one for Father’s Day!

Card Inspiration Thinking of You

I adore the Aurora Paper Pack. Can you believe both pieces of pattern paper on the front are from the same sheet?! I used the sentiment and banner from the Aurora Card Making Workshop Kit. (This kit is awesome on it’s own and includes directions to make a set of 16 cards in four different designs).

The shaker element is super fast and is much easier than it looks. I used a Close To My Heart Shaker Window Foam and Acetate (they include the foam circle and the acetate cover all in the perfect size) and cut the confetti for the inside from the scraps of the other papers I used. There are stars from the eggplant base and the Sage that I cut the banner from. The silver ones are from a scrap of glitter paper. It is so easy to cut these using the Shaker Window and Confetti Thin Cuts. I also used this set to cut the eggplant frame around the shaker to cover the white foam tape.

Stampin’ Tip: Don’t forget to use your embossing Buddy on EVERYTHING around your shaker. You want to brush the background, the acetate and any where else the sequins/confetti might go.

The stars along the front image are cut from the same paper I cut the cover and trees from (near the bottom to match the trees) using the Confetti thin cut. The banner is stamped using Sapphire Ink with a sentiment from the stamp set that comes in the card making kit.

Card Kit Thank You Thinking of You

We had to miss a card club meeting due to the Social Distancing rules, and I miss crafting and my peeps! For our first virtual craft club, we are doing a Use Your Stash (Bring Your Own Paper) deal. I created a pattern to create 6 cards using just 1 and a half sheets of paper (plus card bases).

Do you have any paper you’d like to use up? I have a video walk-through of the paper cutting below so you’ll have no trouble following the cutting guide. I will also do an assembly video after the meeting.

Card Inspiration Thinking of You

This card was inspired by the Weekly sketch at Atlantic Hearts. Hope you can come play too! For this throwback card, I used Making Waves paper and an old stamp set called Little Presents.

I am so ready for glad it’s summer. Only 2 weeks of school left. My students are ready for vacation. This fun stamp lets me pretend I’m already playing at the beach. I used Leftover products including Bashful paper for my card base, bashful pearls, and paper from Making Waves. The mermaids were cut out of one of the sheets of paper in this set. Even though this paper pack is retired, the card idea will work with many of our current fabulous packs. I added the sentiment from Little Presents and stamped it in Pansy.
