Card Details
This card was so quick to put together. And the Happiness Never Grows Old stamp set has lots of beautiful images to make for many great options. I used a card sketch from Make it From Your Heart Vol. 2. I talk about these books often, but it’s because they are really awesome. I use them whenever I need a bit of inspiration.
Now on to the card. . . I picked a few sheets from the Holiday Stack and cut them according to the measurements in the sketch. I did adjust the size of the white (sentiment piece) and it’s mat, because I knew I wanted to use the “a thankful heart grows year round” stamp. I also used a scrap of peach paper, so I could have a colorful flower without actually coloring it.
I stamped the sentiment and small flower from the December Stamp of the Month using Peach Ink. The Sentiment is on White Daisy and the small flower is on the lighter side of a scrap of Peach Paper. I added a bit of shimmer to the flower by going over the stamped lines with a Peach Shimmer Brush.
Finally, I cut out the flower (with Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors) and glued it next to the sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed your visit. I’d love for you to leave a comment before you “Hop” on over to Kathy’s blog and check out her work.
Happy hopping!
