Heart 2 Heart – Going Green

My lucky green card was inspired by a layout from a fabulous Close To My Heart How-To Book. I used a pattern from Make It From Your Heart Volume 5. This fabulous book has 15 scrapbook layout ideas and 10 card sketches. Each of these patterns offers a layout with measurements and a beautiful image of finished artwork following the sketch pattern. I use these books for ideas all the time!

I am entering this card into the Heart2Heart Going Green Challenge. This week Heart 2 Heart is Teaming up With Double Trouble, so I’m also entering that one. Hope you can play along with me!

Card Details

I kept it simple for this one to really let the green show. It has a green plaid piece from Cake Day to meet Thing Two’s plaid suggestion. I used a piece of Evergreen cardstock for the next layer and another piece of the same paper from Cake Day; two-sided pattern paper is so much fun!

The four leaf clovers are cut with the Flower Market cartridge to cut the 4-leaf clovers. I used text to have the Cricut write the sentiment, but I lifted the idea from the months of the Year – March Stamp set.

I hope you like the card and feel inspired to create.

Happy Stamping,

Pretty St Patrick’s Day card, and like how you brought in a little bit of yellow, and love the Cricut clover cuts. I’m going to have to go dust off my Cricut and start using it again. Very pretty card. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and Heart2Heart.

How nice to see the yellow stripe as an accent color, Stefani! Pretty card and I like the mix of patterned paper, too. Thank you for playing along with us at Double Trouble- we’re so glad you did.
