Birthday Stamp of the Month

I may have waited to the last minute to create this card, so I was having a bit of trouble coming up with a card design. Fortunately I have all of our Make it From the Heart books, so I can find great ideas. This pattern is number 7 from Make it From the Heart Volume 4.

Stampin’ Tip: I used our ink to color in the flower bouquet. This technique looks great, but it’s really easy. All you have to do is squeeze the ink pad upside down a few times. When you open it, you will have bits of ink in the lid. I used our water brush to gather the ink and paint (just like water colors). You can play with the amount of ink and get some great shading or just color it quickly like I did. Either way will look awesome!.

This card uses papers from Sweet Girl and is matted with peach. I added silver embellishing thread BEFORE I attached the pink middle piece so that I could glue the embellishing thread to the back. The sentiment is from the To My Bestie Stamp of the Month and is stamped in peach. The bouquet is from the same set and is stamped in archival black. I hand-trimmed the bouquet and attached it with a piece of 3D Foam Tape.
