Card Details
I love this card. I used a few fun techniques. First, I used our waterfall thin cuts to create the sliding element. Next used the eclipse technique to write the word “Love” one letter at time on each square.
I cut the blue stitched squares from Blue Belle cardstock with the waterfall die cut and then just cut the pattern paper to be a bit smaller than the stitched squares.
Technique Tip:
To create the eclipse look, first cut the letters out of the pattern paper. Then cut the same letter out of foam. When you glue the letter shaped paper to the foam, Then glue the foam back onto the piece it was cut out of, it get the cool eclipse look.
All the pattern paper I used for this card is part of the Perfect Match set. The Xoxo strip, is one of the zip strips. I love that we can use every bit of our papers!
This is what the card looks like when the slide has been pulled down. There is room to write or stamp a short message on the tag shaped part. For this card, I stamped “Love You” from the Happiness Lives Here Cardmaking Stamp Set in Blue Belle.
The zip strip and a flower both cover a stamping error – I hate when ink goes where it shouldn’t! The flower is part of the sticker sheet from the Perfect Match set too.
I hope you like the card, and are inspired to create! I’d love it if you could leave me a comment before you hop on over to Alyson’s blog.
Happy Hopping!
